The last time we did not ask the Lord how to carry it. You Levites didn’t carry it, so the Lord our God punished us.”

They did not become thirsty when he led them through the deserts. He made water flow from a rock for them. He split the rock, and water flowed out.

I cared for them in the desert where it was hot and dry.

and all drank the same spiritual drink. They drank from that spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ.

He led you through the large and terrible desert that was dry and had no water, and that had poisonous snakes and stinging insects. He gave you water from a solid rock

because anger will not help you live the right kind of life God wants.

Then God opened up a hole in the ground at Lehi, and water came out. When Samson drank, he felt better; he felt strong again. So he named that spring Caller’s Spring, which is still in Lehi.

Why didn’t you obey the Lord? Why did you take the best things? Why did you do what the Lord said was wrong?”

Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned. I didn’t obey the Lord’s commands and your words. I was afraid of the people, and I did what they said.
