Be kind and loving to each other, and forgive each other just as God forgave you in Christ.

“Lord, you are loyal to those who are loyal, and you are good to those who are good.

Lord, you are loyal to those who are loyal, and you are good to those who are good.

So you must show mercy to others, or God will not show mercy to you when he judges you. But the person who shows mercy can stand without fear at the judgment.

But the wisdom that comes from God is first of all pure, then peaceful, gentle, and easy to please. This wisdom is always ready to help those who are troubled and to do good for others. It is always fair and honest.

God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So you should always clothe yourselves with mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without hoping to get anything back. Then you will have a great reward, and you will be children of the Most High God, because he is kind even to people who are ungrateful and full of sin.

The Lord has told you, human, what is good; he has told you what he wants from you: to do what is right to other people, love being kind to others, and live humbly, obeying your God.

Being kind to the poor is like lending to the Lord; he will reward you for what you have done.

God is fair; he will not forget the work you did and the love you showed for him by helping his people. And he will remember that you are still helping them.

So, O king, please accept my advice. Stop sinning and do what is right. Stop doing wicked things and be kind to the poor. Then you might continue to be successful.”

Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it.

Kind people do themselves a favor, but cruel people bring trouble on themselves.

At one time you were not a people, but now you are God’s people. In the past you had never received mercy, but now you have received God’s mercy.

When you are praying, if you are angry with someone, forgive him so that your Father in heaven will also forgive your sins. [

It is a sin to hate your neighbor, but being kind to the needy brings happiness.

“You are to call your brothers, ‘my people,’ and your sisters, ‘you have been shown pity.’

They give freely to the poor. The things they do are right and will continue forever. They will be given great honor.

A light shines in the dark for honest people, for those who are merciful and kind and good.

Good people always lend freely to others, and their children are a blessing.

In the past I spoke against Christ and persecuted him and did all kinds of things to hurt him. But God showed me mercy, because I did not know what I was doing. I did not believe.

Now I write about people who are not married. I have no command from the Lord about this; I give my opinion. But I can be trusted, because the Lord has shown me mercy.

But I was given mercy so that in me, the worst of all sinners, Christ Jesus could show that he has patience without limit. His patience with me made me an example for those who would believe in him and have life forever.

I will plant my people in the land, and I will show pity to the one I had called ‘not shown pity.’ I will say, ‘You are my people’ to those I had called ‘not my people.’ And they will say to me, ‘You are our God.’ ”

At one time you refused to obey God. But now you have received mercy, because those people refused to obey.

Whoever gives to others will get richer; those who help others will themselves be helped.
