Whoever refuses to obey any command and teaches other people not to obey that command will be the least important in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys the commands and teaches other people to obey them will be great in the kingdom of heaven.

I respect all your orders, so I hate lying ways.

Then I would not be ashamed when I study your commands.

The wise people will shine like the brightness of the sky. Those who teach others to live right will shine like stars forever and ever.

I tell you the truth, John the Baptist is greater than any other person ever born, but even the least important person in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John.

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, when the age to come has arrived, the Son of Man will sit on his great throne. All of you who followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

But it should not be that way among you. Whoever wants to become great among you must serve the rest of you like a servant.

Teach them to obey everything that I have taught you, and I will be with you always, even until the end of this age.”

John will be a great man for the Lord. He will never drink wine or beer, and even from birth, he will be filled with the Holy Spirit.

How terrible for you Pharisees! You give God one-tenth of even your mint, your rue, and every other plant in your garden. But you fail to be fair to others and to love God. These are the things you should do while continuing to do those other things.

Then Jesus said, “Whoever accepts this little child in my name accepts me. And whoever accepts me accepts the One who sent me, because whoever is least among you all is really the greatest.”

It would be the same to say, “We should do evil so that good will come.” Some people find fault with us and say we teach this, but they are wrong and deserve the punishment they will receive.

So do you think we should continue sinning so that God will give us even more grace?

So what should we do? Should we sin because we are under grace and not under law? No!

Be sure to do everything I have commanded you. Do not add anything to it, and do not take anything away from it.

“Anyone will be cursed who does not agree with the words of these teachings and does not obey them.” Then all the people will say, “Amen!”

But you, man of God, run away from all those things. Instead, live in the right way, serve God, have faith, love, patience, and gentleness.

This teaching is true, and I want you to be sure the people understand these things. Then those who believe in God will be careful to use their lives for doing good. These things are good and will help everyone.

Then when Christ, the Chief Shepherd, comes, you will get a glorious crown that will never lose its beauty.

The person who sins breaks God’s law. Yes, sin is living against God’s law.

“But I have this against you: You let that woman Jezebel spread false teachings. She says she is a prophetess, but by her teaching she leads my people to take part in sexual sins and to eat food that is offered to idols.

“So the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I promised that your family and your ancestor’s family would serve me always.’ But now the Lord says: ‘This must stop! I will honor those who honor me, but I will dishonor those who ignore me.
