Matthew 26:18

Jesus answered, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: “The chosen time is near. I will have the Passover with my followers at your house.” ’ ”

If anyone asks you why you are taking the donkeys, say that the Master needs them, and he will send them at once.”

And you should not be called ‘Master,’ because you have only one Master, the Christ.

“But you must not be called ‘Teacher,’ because you have only one Teacher, and you are all brothers and sisters together.

The followers did what Jesus told them to do, and they prepared the Passover meal.

“You know that the day after tomorrow is the day of the Passover Feast. On that day the Son of Man will be given to his enemies to be crucified.”

At once Judas went to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Teacher!” and kissed him.

While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of the synagogue leader. They said, “Your daughter is dead. There is no need to bother the teacher anymore.”

I was with you every day in the Temple, and you didn’t arrest me there. But this is your time—the time when darkness rules.”

After Martha said this, she went back and talked to her sister Mary alone. Martha said, “The Teacher is here and he is asking for you.”

Jesus said to them, “The time has come for the Son of Man to receive his glory.

It was almost time for the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that it was time for him to leave this world and go back to the Father. He had always loved those who were his own in the world, and he loved them all the way to the end.

After Jesus said these things, he looked toward heaven and prayed, “Father, the time has come. Give glory to your Son so that the Son can give glory to you.

Jesus said to her, “Mary.” Mary turned toward Jesus and said in the Hebrew language, “Rabboni.” (This means “Teacher.”)

When Jesus said this, they tried to seize him. But no one was able to touch him, because it was not yet the right time.

Jesus said to his brothers, “The right time for me has not yet come, but any time is right for you.

So you go to the feast. I will not go yet to this feast, because the right time for me has not yet come.”
