So he said to them, ‘If you go and work in my vineyard, I will pay you what your work is worth.’

About five o’clock the man went to the marketplace again and saw others standing there. He asked them, ‘Why did you stand here all day doing nothing?’

At noon the whole country became dark, and the darkness lasted for three hours.

He answered, “Come and see.” So the two men went with Jesus and saw where he was staying and stayed there with him that day. It was about four o’clock in the afternoon.

Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the daylight, he will not stumble, because he can see by this world’s light.

Jacob’s well was there. Jesus was tired from his long trip, so he sat down beside the well. It was about twelve o’clock noon.

About noon the next day as they came near Joppa, Peter was going up to the roof to pray.

One day Peter and John went to the Temple at three o’clock, the time set each day for the afternoon prayer service.
