When the workers who were hired first came to get their pay, they thought they would be paid more than the others. But each one of them also received one coin.

They said, ‘Those people were hired last and worked only one hour. But you paid them the same as you paid us who worked hard all day in the hot sun.’

It was worth a full year’s work. It could have been sold and the money given to the poor.” And they got very angry with the woman.

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to complain: “Look, this man welcomes sinners and even eats with them.”

All the people saw this and began to complain, “Jesus is staying with a sinner!”

But the Pharisees and the men who taught the law for the Pharisees began to complain to Jesus’ followers, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

Some people began to complain about Jesus because he said, “I am the bread that comes down from heaven.”

Knowing that his followers were complaining about this, Jesus said, “Does this teaching bother you?

Seeing the crowd, the Jewish people became very jealous and said insulting things and argued against what Paul said.

They try to stop us from teaching those who are not Jews so they may be saved. By doing this, they are increasing their sins to the limit. The anger of God has come to them at last.

These people complain and blame others, doing the evil things they want to do. They brag about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.
