When he left the courtyard and was at the gate, another girl saw him. She said to the people there, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.”

All this happened to bring about what the Lord had said through the prophet:

During Elizabeth’s sixth month of pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee,

At that time Jesus came from the town of Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan River.

They told him, “Jesus, from Nazareth, is going by.”
