Your love must be real. Hate what is evil, and hold on to what is good.

It is written in the Scriptures, “The two will become one body.” So you should know that anyone who joins with a prostitute becomes one body with the prostitute.

But because sexual sin is a danger, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.

The wife does not have full rights over her own body; her husband shares them. And the husband does not have full rights over his own body; his wife shares them.

The Scripture says, “So a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one body.”

Respect the Lord your God and serve him. Be loyal to him and make your promises in his name.

If you are careful to obey every command I am giving you to follow, and love the Lord your God, and do what he has told you to do, and are loyal to him,

But all of you who continued following the Lord your God are still alive today.

When David finished talking with Saul, Jonathan felt very close to David. He loved David as much as he loved himself.

David also had married Ahinoam of Jezreel. So they were both David’s wives.
