Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. He took the five loaves and the two fish and, looking to heaven, he thanked God for the food. Jesus divided the bread and gave it to his followers, who gave it to the people.

Jesus said, “Bring the bread and the fish to me.”

Then Jesus told his followers to have the people sit in groups on the green grass.

Jesus took the five loaves and two fish and, looking up to heaven, he thanked God for the food. He divided the bread and gave it to his followers for them to give to the people. Then he divided the two fish among them all.

Those who think one day is more important than other days are doing that for the Lord. And those who eat all kinds of food are doing that for the Lord, and they give thanks to God. Others who refuse to eat some foods do that for the Lord, and they give thanks to God.

We give thanks for the cup of blessing, which is a sharing in the blood of Christ. And the bread that we break is a sharing in the body of Christ.

The answer is, if you eat or drink, or if you do anything, do it all for the glory of God.

Everything you do or say should be done to obey Jesus your Lord. And in all you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus.
