“Those who love their father or mother more than they love me are not worthy to be my followers. Those who love their son or daughter more than they love me are not worthy to be my followers.

Someone told Jesus, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, and they want to talk to you.”

Then he pointed to his followers and said, “Here are my mother and my brothers.

Jesus said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

Jesus became wiser and grew physically. People liked him, and he pleased God.

From this time on we do not think of anyone as the world does. In the past we thought of Christ as the world thinks, but we no longer think of him in that way.

He said about his father and mother, ‘I don’t care about them.’ He did not treat his brothers as favorites or give special favors to his children, but he protected your word and guarded your agreement.
