“Here is my servant whom I have chosen. I love him, and I am pleased with him. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will tell of my justice to all people.

Once, in a vision, you spoke to those who worship you. You said, “I have given strength to a warrior; I have raised up a young man from my people.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest upon that king. The Spirit will give him wisdom and understanding, guidance and power. The Spirit will teach him to know and respect the Lord.

“Here is my servant, the one I support. He is the one I chose, and I am pleased with him. I have put my Spirit upon him, and he will bring justice to all nations.

The Lord says, “See, my servant will act wisely. People will greatly honor and respect him.

“After his soul suffers many things, he will see life and be satisfied. My good servant will make many people right with God; he will carry away their sins.

Jerusalem, the nations will see your goodness, and all kings will see your glory. Then you will have a new name, which the Lord himself will give you.

Lord, you are my strength and my protection, my safe place in times of trouble. The nations will come to you from all over the world and say, “Our ancestors had only false gods, useless idols that didn’t help them.

He did these things to bring about what Isaiah the prophet had said:

While Peter was talking, a bright cloud covered them. A voice came from the cloud and said, “This is my Son, whom I love, and I am very pleased with him. Listen to him!”

and a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love, and I am very pleased with you.”

Then a cloud came and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!”

The people stood there watching. And the leaders made fun of Jesus, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself if he is God’s Chosen One, the Christ.”

A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen. Listen to him!”

The One whom God sent speaks the words of God, because God gives him the Spirit fully.

You know about Jesus from Nazareth, that God gave him the Holy Spirit and power. You know how Jesus went everywhere doing good and healing those who were ruled by the devil, because God was with him.

When the believers heard this, they stopped arguing. They praised God and said, “So God is allowing even other nations to turn to him and live.”

When they arrived in Antioch, Paul and Barnabas gathered the church together. They told the church all about what God had done with them and how God had made it possible for those who were not Jewish to believe.

and it brings praise to God because of his wonderful grace. God gave that grace to us freely, in Christ, the One he loves.

From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus. I am an apostle because that is what God wanted. Also from Timothy, our brother.

God has freed us from the power of darkness, and he brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

Come to the Lord Jesus, the “stone” that lives. The people of the world did not want this stone, but he was the stone God chose, and he was precious.

Jesus heard the voice of God, the Greatest Glory, when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice said, “This is my Son, whom I love, and I am very pleased with him.”
