When you are arrested, don’t worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given the things to say.

Now go! I will help you speak, and I will teach you what to say.”

You will speak to Aaron and tell him what to say. I will help both of you to speak and will teach you what to do.

But the Lord said to me, “Don’t say, ‘I am only a boy.’ You must go everywhere I send you, and you must say everything I tell you to say.

Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth. He said to me, “See, I am putting my words in your mouth.

Because of me you will be taken to stand before governors and kings, and you will tell them and the non-Jewish people about me.

“So I tell you, don’t worry about the food or drink you need to live, or about the clothes you need for your body. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothes.

Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’

So don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

“When you are brought into the synagogues before the leaders and other powerful people, don’t worry about how to defend yourself or what to say.

At that time the Holy Spirit will teach you what you must say.”

But the Spirit was helping him to speak with wisdom, and his words were so strong that they could not argue with him.

Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.

But the Lord stayed with me and gave me strength so I could fully tell the Good News to all those who are not Jews. So I was saved from the lion’s mouth.

But if any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous to everyone and will give you wisdom without criticizing you.
