Wear sandals, but take only the clothes you are wearing.
Then the angel told him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” And Peter did. Then the angel said, “Put on your coat and follow me.”
On your feet wear the Good News of peace to help you stand strong.
“I baptize you with water to show that your hearts and lives have changed. But there is one coming after me who is greater than I am, whose sandals I am not good enough to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Don’t carry a bag or extra clothes or sandals or a walking stick. Workers should be given what they need.
This is what Jesus commanded them: “Take nothing for your trip except a walking stick. Take no bread, no bag, and no money in your pockets.
When you enter a house, stay there until you leave that town.
