This is what Jesus commanded them: “Take nothing for your trip except a walking stick. Take no bread, no bag, and no money in your pockets.

Wear sandals, but take only the clothes you are wearing.

Don’t carry a purse, a bag, or sandals, and don’t waste time talking with people on the road.

Then Jesus said to the apostles, “When I sent you out without a purse, a bag, or sandals, did you need anything?” They said, “No.”

He said to them, “Take nothing for your trip, neither a walking stick, bag, bread, money, or extra clothes.
