Then the officer who was close to the king answered Elisha, “Even if the Lord opened windows in the sky, that couldn’t happen.” Elisha said, “You will see it with your eyes, but you will not eat any of it.”

Where can I get meat for all these people? They keep crying to me, ‘We want meat!’

But Jesus answered, “They don’t need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

“Later, that same servant found another servant who owed him a few dollars. The servant grabbed him around the neck and said, ‘Pay me the money you owe me!’

Send the people away so they can go to the countryside and towns around here to buy themselves something to eat.”

Jesus asked them, “How many loaves of bread do you have? Go and see.” When they found out, they said, “Five loaves and two fish.”

Jesus said, “Two people owed money to the same banker. One owed five hundred coins and the other owed fifty.

But Jesus said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish, unless we go buy food for all these people.”
