Isaac planted seed in that land, and that year he gathered a great harvest. The Lord blessed him very much,

The Lord says, “Shout out loud. Don’t hold back. Shout out loud like a trumpet. Tell my people what they have done against their God; tell the family of Jacob about their sins.

Isn’t my message like a fire?” says the Lord. “Isn’t it like a hammer that smashes a rock?

But what is the seed that fell on the good ground? That seed is like the person who hears the teaching and understands it. That person grows and produces fruit, sometimes a hundred times more, sometimes sixty times more, and sometimes thirty times more.”

Some other seed fell on good ground where it grew and produced a crop. Some plants made a hundred times more, some made sixty times more, and some made thirty times more.

Others are like the seed planted in the good ground. They hear the teaching and accept it. Then they grow and produce fruit—sometimes thirty times more, sometimes sixty times more, and sometimes a hundred times more.”

Some other seed fell among thorny weeds, which grew and choked the good plants. So those plants did not produce a crop.

Then Jesus said, “Let those with ears use them and listen!”

And the seed that fell on the good ground is like those who hear God’s teaching with good, honest hearts and obey it and patiently produce good fruit.

And some seed fell on good ground and grew and made a hundred times more.” As Jesus finished the story, he called out, “Let those with ears use them and listen!”

“I am the vine, and you are the branches. If any remain in me and I remain in them, they produce much fruit. But without me they can do nothing.

If people choose to do what God wants, they will know that my teaching comes from God and not from me.

These people were more willing to listen than the people in Thessalonica. The Bereans were eager to hear what Paul and Silas said and studied the Scriptures every day to find out if these things were true.

and that whole building is joined together in Christ. He makes it grow and become a holy temple in the Lord.

that you will be filled with the good things produced in your life by Christ to bring glory and praise to God.

that was told to you. Everywhere in the world that Good News is bringing blessings and is growing. This has happened with you, too, since you heard the Good News and understood the truth about the grace of God.
