But the Lord sent terrible diseases on the king and all the people in his house because of Abram’s wife Sarai.

But the Lord became very angry, and he gave the people a terrible sickness that came while the meat was still in their mouths.

Jesus knew what the Pharisees were doing, so he left that place. Many people followed him, and he healed all who were sick.

When he arrived, he saw a great crowd waiting. He felt sorry for them and healed those who were sick.

They begged Jesus to let them touch just the edge of his coat, and all who touched it were healed.

Jesus went everywhere in Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the Good News about the kingdom of heaven, and healing all the people’s diseases and sicknesses.

Jesus said to her, “Dear woman, you are made well because you believed. Go in peace; be healed of your disease.”

And everywhere he went—into towns, cities, or countryside—the people brought the sick to the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch just the edge of his coat, and all who touched it were healed.

Jesus and his followers came to Bethsaida. There some people brought a blind man to Jesus and begged him to touch the man.

Jesus got into one of the boats, the one that belonged to Simon, and asked him to push off a little from the land. Then Jesus sat down and continued to teach the people from the boat.

All the people were trying to touch Jesus, because power was coming from him and healing them all.

There was an army officer who had a servant who was very important to him. The servant was so sick he was nearly dead.

At that time, Jesus healed many people of their sicknesses, diseases, and evil spirits, and he gave sight to many blind people.

The people placed their sick on beds and mats in the streets, hoping that when Peter passed by at least his shadow might fall on them.

The Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as his child.”
