So Pilate asked Jesus another question, “You can see that they are accusing you of many things. Aren’t you going to answer?”

Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Aren’t you going to answer? Don’t you have something to say about their charges against you?”

So Pilate said to Jesus, “Don’t you hear them accusing you of all these things?”

The leading priests accused Jesus of many things.

But Jesus still said nothing, so Pilate was very surprised.

Pilate said, “You refuse to speak to me? Don’t you know I have power to set you free and power to have you crucified?”
