“Human, give a riddle and tell a story to the people of Israel.

The man agreed to pay the workers one coin for working that day. Then he sent them into the vineyard to work.

But knowing that these leaders were trying to trick him, Jesus said, “You hypocrites! Why are you trying to trap me?

Some Pharisees came to Jesus and tried to trick him. They asked, “Is it right for a man to divorce his wife?”

They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are an honest man. You are not afraid of what other people think about you, because you pay no attention to who they are. And you teach the truth about God’s way. Tell us: Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?

They gave Jesus a coin, and he asked, “Whose image and name are on the coin?” They answered, “Caesar’s.”

But Jesus, knowing they were trying to trick him, said,

A third time he said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” Peter said, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you!” He said to him, “Feed my sheep.

They were asking this to trick Jesus so that they could have some charge against him. But Jesus bent over and started writing on the ground with his finger.

Peter said to her, “Why did you and your husband agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”

We must not test Christ as some of them did; they were killed by snakes.

Nothing in all the world can be hidden from God. Everything is clear and lies open before him, and to him we must explain the way we have lived.

I will also kill her followers. Then all the churches will know I am the One who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you for what you have done.
