Mark 11:1

As Jesus and his followers were coming closer to Jerusalem, they came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany near the Mount of Olives. From there Jesus sent two of his followers

David went up the Mount of Olives, crying as he went. He covered his head and went barefoot. All the people with David covered their heads also and cried as they went.

On that day he will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem. The Mount of Olives will split in two, forming a deep valley that runs east and west. Half the mountain will move toward the north, and half will move toward the south.

Then Jesus left and went out of the city to Bethany, where he spent the night.

Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, his followers came to be alone with him. They said, “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that it is time for you to come again and for this age to end?”

After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

and said to them, “Go to the town you can see there. When you enter it, you will quickly find a colt tied, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here to me.

Later, as Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, opposite the Temple, he was alone with Peter, James, John, and Andrew. They asked Jesus,

Jesus sent two of his followers and said to them, “Go into the city and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him.

He called his twelve followers together and got ready to send them out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits.

Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

Then they went back to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. (This mountain is about half a mile from Jerusalem.)
