Jesus said, “You don’t understand what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I must drink? And can you be baptized with the same kind of baptism that I must go through?”

After walking a little farther away from them, Jesus fell to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, do not give me this cup of suffering. But do what you want, not what I want.”

They confessed their sins, and he baptized them in the Jordan River.

He prayed, “Abba, Father! You can do all things. Take away this cup of suffering. But do what you want, not what I want.”

I have a baptism to suffer through, and I feel very troubled until it is over.

“Father, if you are willing, take away this cup of suffering. But do what you want, not what I want.”

Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword back. Shouldn’t I drink the cup the Father gave me?”

Also, the Spirit helps us with our weakness. We do not know how to pray as we should. But the Spirit himself speaks to God for us, even begs God for us with deep feelings that words cannot explain.

Or when you ask, you do not receive because the reason you ask is wrong. You want things so you can use them for your own pleasures.
