Then Jesus looked at his followers and said, “How hard it will be for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”

Then he said, “I tell you the truth, you must change and become like little children. Otherwise, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

He was very sad to hear Jesus say this, and he left sorrowfully, because he was rich.

Jesus was angry as he looked at the people, and he felt very sad because they were stubborn. Then he said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” The man held out his hand and it was healed.

But Jesus continued looking around to see who had touched him.

Jesus looked at him and said, “It is very hard for rich people to enter the kingdom of God.

But Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born from water and the Spirit, you cannot enter God’s kingdom.

Brothers and sisters, look at what you were when God called you. Not many of you were wise in the way the world judges wisdom. Not many of you had great influence. Not many of you came from important families.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters! God chose the poor in the world to be rich with faith and to receive the kingdom God promised to those who love him.

So, you are not loyal to God! You should know that loving the world is the same as hating God. Anyone who wants to be a friend of the world becomes God’s enemy.

And you will be given a very great welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
