After the crowd had been thrown out of the house, Jesus went into the girl’s room and took hold of her hand, and she stood up.

So Jesus went to her bed, took her hand, and helped her up. The fever left her, and she began serving them.

So Jesus took the blind man’s hand and led him out of the village. Then he spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on the man and asked, “Can you see now?”

But Jesus took hold of the boy’s hand and helped him to stand up.

When Jesus went to the house, he let only Peter, John, James, and the girl’s father and mother go inside with him.

The people laughed at Jesus because they knew the girl was dead.

Her spirit came back into her, and she stood up at once. Then Jesus ordered that she be given something to eat.

After Jesus said this, he cried out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

Just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to those he wants to.

Peter sent everyone out of the room and kneeled and prayed. Then he turned to the body and said, “Tabitha, stand up.” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

As it is written in the Scriptures: “I am making you a father of many nations.” This is true before God, the God Abraham believed, the God who gives life to the dead and who creates something out of nothing.
