Someone said to Jesus, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.”
He is just the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. And his sisters are here with us.” So the people were upset with Jesus.
Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him, but there was such a crowd they could not get to him.
Jesus answered them, “My mother and my brothers are those who listen to God’s teaching and obey it!”
They all continued praying together with some women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and Jesus’ brothers.
Do we not have the right to bring a believing wife with us when we travel as do the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Peter?
I met no other apostles, except James, the brother of the Lord.
