Luke 4:16

Jesus traveled to Nazareth, where he had grown up. On the Sabbath day he went to the synagogue, as he always did, and stood up to read.

to a town called Nazareth, and lived there. And so what God had said through the prophets came true: “He will be called a Nazarene.”

When Joseph and Mary had done everything the law of the Lord commanded, they went home to Nazareth, their own town in Galilee.

When he was twelve years old, they went to the feast as they always did.

Jesus went with them to Nazareth and was obedient to them. But his mother kept in her mind all that had happened.

He began to teach in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.

The book of Isaiah the prophet was given to him. He opened the book and found the place where this is written:

He began to say to them, “While you heard these words just now, they were coming true!”

Jesus said to them, “I know that you will tell me the old saying: ‘Doctor, heal yourself.’ You want to say, ‘We heard about the things you did in Capernaum. Do those things here in your own town!’ ”

Jesus answered, “I have spoken openly to everyone. I have always taught in synagogues and in the Temple, where all the Jews come together. I never said anything in secret.

Paul went into the synagogue as he always did, and on each Sabbath day for three weeks, he talked with his fellow Jews about the Scriptures.
