His words are slippery like butter, but war is in his heart. His words are smoother than oil, but they cut like knives.

The slap of a friend can be trusted to help you, but the kisses of an enemy are nothing but lies.

While Jesus was speaking, a crowd came up, and Judas, one of the twelve apostles, was leading them. He came close to Jesus so he could kiss him.

When those who were standing around him saw what was happening, they said, “Lord, should we strike them with our swords?”
