“More than anything else, a person’s mind is evil and cannot be healed. Who can understand it?
But Jesus said, “You don’t understand what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I am about to drink?” The sons answered, “Yes, we can.”
Peter said, “Everyone else may stumble in their faith, but I will not.”
But Peter insisted, “I will never say that I don’t know you! I will even die with you!” And all the other followers said the same thing.
But Jesus said, “Peter, before the rooster crows this day, you will say three times that you don’t know me.”
But Peter said this was not true; he said, “Woman, I don’t know him.”
Jesus answered, “Are you ready to die for me? I tell you the truth, before the rooster crows, you will say three times that you don’t know me.”
But he said, “Why are you crying and making me so sad? I am not only ready to be tied up in Jerusalem, I am ready to die for the Lord Jesus!”
