The little child grew and became strong. He was filled with wisdom, and God’s goodness was upon him.
You had my mother give birth to me. You made me trust you while I was just a baby.
You are more handsome than anyone, and you are an excellent speaker, so God has blessed you forever.
And so the child grew up and became strong in spirit. John lived in the desert until the time when he came out to preach to Israel.
All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and answers.
Jesus became wiser and grew physically. People liked him, and he pleased God.
The Word became a human and lived among us. We saw his glory—the glory that belongs to the only Son of the Father—and he was full of grace and truth.
With great power the apostles were telling people that the Lord Jesus was truly raised from the dead. And God blessed all the believers very much.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his great power.
You then, Timothy, my child, be strong in the grace we have in Christ Jesus.
So the woman gave birth to a boy and named him Samson. He grew, and the Lord blessed him.
But Samuel obeyed the Lord. As a boy he wore a linen holy vest.
The Lord was kind to Hannah, so she became the mother of three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew up serving the Lord.
The boy Samuel grew physically. He pleased the Lord and the people.
The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up; he did not let any of Samuel’s messages fail to come true.
