One time Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his followers said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray as John taught his followers.”

One time when Jesus was praying alone, his followers were with him, and he asked them, “Who do the people say I am?”

About eight days after Jesus said these things, he took Peter, John, and James and went up on a mountain to pray.

While Jesus lived on earth, he prayed to God and asked God for help. He prayed with loud cries and tears to the One who could save him from death, and his prayer was heard because he trusted God.

But dear friends, use your most holy faith to build yourselves up, praying in the Holy Spirit.
