Being kind to the poor is like lending to the Lord; he will reward you for what you have done.

“Later, that same servant found another servant who owed him a few dollars. The servant grabbed him around the neck and said, ‘Pay me the money you owe me!’

The man agreed to pay the workers one coin for working that day. Then he sent them into the vineyard to work.

The Samaritan went to him, poured olive oil and wine on his wounds, and bandaged them. Then he put the hurt man on his own donkey and took him to an inn where he cared for him.

Then Jesus said, “Which one of these three men do you think was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by the robbers?”

Instead, when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind.
