Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of one hundred ten.
After Joshua died, the Israelites asked the Lord, “Who will be first to go and fight for us against the Canaanites?”
The people served the Lord during the lifetime of Joshua and during the lifetimes of the elders who lived after Joshua and who had seen what great things the Lord had done for Israel.
They buried him in his own land at Timnath Serah in the mountains of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
