The Lord said to them, “The tribe of Judah will go. I have handed the land over to them.”

On the seventh day Elishama son of Ammihud brought his gifts. He was the leader of the tribe of Ephraim. On the eighth day Gamaliel son of Pedahzur brought his gifts. Hebrews 7:14

It is clear that our Lord came from the tribe of Judah, and Moses said nothing about priests belonging to that tribe.
