From then until now the country of Edom has fought against the rule of Judah. At the same time Libnah also broke away from Judah’s rule.

Joshua and all the Israelites traveled from Makkedah to Libnah and attacked it.

Libnah, Adullam,

Gederoth, Beth Dagon, Naamah, and Makkedah. There were sixteen towns and their villages.

Iphtah, Ashnah, Nezib,

They received the towns of Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan, four towns and their villages.

So they gave the city of Hebron to the descendants of Aaron (Hebron was a city of safety). They also gave them the towns of Libnah,

Hormah, Bor Ashan, Athach,
