So I told you that you would die in your sins. Yes, you will die in your sins if you don’t believe that I am he.”

Then God said to Moses, “I am who I am. When you go to the people of Israel, tell them, ‘I am sent me to you.’ ”

Those who do not find me hurt themselves. Those who hate me love death.”

Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will fool many people.

Many people will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the One,’ and they will fool many people.

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved, but anyone who does not believe will be punished.

Jesus said, “Be careful so you are not fooled. Many people will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the One’ and, ‘The time has come!’ But don’t follow them.

I am telling you this now before it happens so that when it happens, you will believe that I am he.

People who believe in God’s Son are not judged guilty. Those who do not believe have already been judged guilty, because they have not believed in God’s one and only Son.

Those who believe in the Son have eternal life, but those who do not obey the Son will never have life. God’s anger stays on them.”

Then Jesus said, “I am he—I, the one talking to you.”

Again, Jesus said to the people, “I will leave you, and you will look for me, but you will die in your sins. You cannot come where I am going.”

They asked, “Then who are you?” Jesus answered, “I am what I have told you from the beginning.

So Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, you will know that I am he. You will know that these things I do are not by my own authority but that I say only what the Father has taught me.

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I am!”

Jesus is the only One who can save people. No one else in the world is able to save us.”

So be careful and do not refuse to listen when God speaks. Others refused to listen to him when he warned them on earth, and they did not escape. So it will be worse for us if we refuse to listen to God who warns us from heaven.

So surely we also will be punished if we ignore this great salvation. The Lord himself first told about this salvation, and those who heard him testified it was true.
