You will plant, but you won’t harvest. You will step on your olives, but you won’t get any oil from them. You will crush the grapes, but you will not drink the new wine.

I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You even take money that you didn’t earn and gather food that you didn’t plant.’

I tell you the truth, whoever believes in me will do the same things that I do. Those who believe will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

Already, the one who harvests is being paid and is gathering crops for eternal life. So the one who plants and the one who harvests celebrate at the same time.

I sent you to harvest a crop that you did not work on. Others did the work, and you get to finish up their work.”

Whenever the Israelites planted crops, the Midianites, Amalekites, and other peoples from the east would come and attack them.
