Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you see me. Those who believe without seeing me will be truly blessed.”
But you are blessed, because you see with your eyes and hear with your ears.
You are blessed because you believed that what the Lord said to you would really happen.”
Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Then the other follower, who had reached the tomb first, also went in. He saw and believed.
Jesus said to him, “You people must see signs and miracles before you will believe in me.”
We live by what we believe, not by what we can see.
Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it.
It was by faith that Moses left Egypt and was not afraid of the king’s anger. Moses continued strong as if he could see the God that no one can see.
All these people are known for their faith, but none of them received what God had promised.
You have not seen Christ, but still you love him. You cannot see him now, but you believe in him. So you are filled with a joy that cannot be explained, a joy full of glory.
