Jesus asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Whom are you looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said to him, “Did you take him away, sir? Tell me where you put him, and I will get him.”

I got up and went around the city, in the streets and squares, looking for the one I love. I looked for him, but I could not find him.

The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus, who has been crucified.

But the man said, “Don’t be afraid. You are looking for Jesus from Nazareth, who has been crucified. He has risen from the dead; he is not here. Look, here is the place they laid him.

Thinking that Jesus was with them in the group, they traveled for a whole day. Then they began to look for him among their family and friends.

The women were very afraid and bowed their heads to the ground. The men said to them, “Why are you looking for a living person in this place for the dead?

When Jesus turned and saw them following him, he asked, “What are you looking for?” They said, “Rabbi, where are you staying?” (“Rabbi” means “Teacher.”)

Knowing everything that would happen to him, Jesus went out and asked, “Who is it you are looking for?”

Jesus asked them again, “Who is it you are looking for?” They said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”

They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” She answered, “They have taken away my Lord, and I don’t know where they have put him.”

Don’t think I am an evil woman. I have been praying because I have many troubles and am very sad.”
