So in Cana of Galilee Jesus did his first miracle. There he showed his glory, and his followers believed in him.

“Now I know you really are a man from God,” the woman said to Elijah. “I know that the Lord truly speaks through you!”

Praise his glorious name forever. Let his glory fill the whole world. Amen and amen.

Tell the nations of his glory; tell all peoples the miracles he does,

When the Israelites saw the great power the Lord had used against the Egyptians, they feared the Lord, and they trusted him and his servant Moses.

After these two miracles, if they still do not believe or listen to you, take some water from the Nile River and pour it on the dry ground. The water will become blood when it touches the ground.”

So go eat your food and enjoy it; drink your wine and be happy, because that is what God wants you to do.

Then the glory of the Lord will be shown, and all people together will see it. The Lord himself said these things.”

Listen to me. Pay attention to what I say. Honor my name,” says the Lord All-Powerful. “If you don’t, I will send a curse on you and on your blessings. I have already cursed them, because you don’t pay attention to what I say.

The Word became a human and lived among us. We saw his glory—the glory that belongs to the only Son of the Father—and he was full of grace and truth.

The law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.”

Jesus said to Nathanael, “Do you believe simply because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than that.”

and many people came to him and said, “John never did a miracle, but everything John said about this man is true.”

And I am glad for your sakes I was not there so that you may believe. But let’s go to him now.”

Then the leading priests and Pharisees called a meeting of the council. They asked, “What should we do? This man is doing many miracles.

Many people went out to meet Jesus, because they had heard about this miracle.

Though Jesus had done many miracles in front of the people, they still did not believe in him.

Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him.

And if you ask for anything in my name, I will do it for you so that the Father’s glory will be shown through the Son.

The Father himself loves you. He loves you because you loved me and believed that I came from God.

We can see now that you know all things. You can answer a person’s question even before it is asked. This makes us believe you came from God.”

Two days later there was a wedding in the town of Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,

When Jesus was in Jerusalem for the Passover Feast, many people believed in him because they saw the miracles he did.

One night Nicodemus came to Jesus and said, “Teacher, we know you are a teacher sent from God, because no one can do the miracles you do unless God is with him.”

Jesus knew that the Pharisees had heard about him, so he left Judea and went back to Galilee.

Jesus went again to visit Cana in Galilee where he had changed the water into wine. One of the king’s important officers lived in the city of Capernaum, and his son was sick.

That was the second miracle Jesus did after coming from Judea to Galilee.

so that all people will honor the Son as much as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

When the people saw this miracle that Jesus did, they said, “He must truly be the Prophet who is coming into the world.”

Many people followed him because they saw the miracles he did to heal the sick.

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, you aren’t looking for me because you saw me do miracles. You are looking for me because you ate the bread and were satisfied.

So the people asked, “What miracle will you do? If we see a miracle, we will believe you. What will you do?

But many of the people believed in Jesus. They said, “When the Christ comes, will he do more miracles than this man has done?”

So some of the Pharisees were saying, “This man does not keep the Sabbath day, so he is not from God.” But others said, “A man who is a sinner can’t do miracles like these.” So they could not agree with each other.

Our faces, then, are not covered. We all show the Lord’s glory, and we are being changed to be like him. This change in us brings ever greater glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

We have small troubles for a while now, but they are helping us gain an eternal glory that is much greater than the troubles.

God once said, “Let the light shine out of the darkness!” This is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts by letting us know the glory of God that is in the face of Christ.

And you said, “The Lord our God has shown us his glory and majesty, and we have heard his voice from the fire. Today we have seen that a person can live even if God speaks to him.

I write this letter to you who believe in the Son of God so you will know you have eternal life.
