Again Peter said it wasn’t true. At once a rooster crowed.
Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, tonight before the rooster crows you will say three times that you don’t know me.”
Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, tonight before the rooster crows twice you will say three times you don’t know me.”
But Peter said that he was never with Jesus. He said, “I don’t know or understand what you are talking about.” Then Peter left and went toward the entrance of the courtyard. And the rooster crowed.
But Jesus said, “Peter, before the rooster crows this day, you will say three times that you don’t know me.”
But Peter said this was not true; he said, “Woman, I don’t know him.”
Jesus answered, “Are you ready to die for me? I tell you the truth, before the rooster crows, you will say three times that you don’t know me.”
