“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.

Jesus gave himself for our sins to free us from this evil world we live in, as God the Father planned.

He died in our place to take away our sins, and not only our sins but the sins of all people.

“My Father has given me all things. No one knows the Son, except the Father. And no one knows the Father, except the Son and those whom the Son chooses to tell.

But it was the Lord who decided to crush him and make him suffer. The Lord made his life a penalty offering, but he will still see his descendants and live a long life. He will complete the things the Lord wants him to do.

Christ himself suffered for sins once. He was not guilty, but he suffered for those who are guilty to bring you to God. His body was killed, but he was made alive in the spirit.

Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right. And you are healed because of his wounds.

Live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.

The greatest love a person can show is to die for his friends.

In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served. He came to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many people.”

“Sword, hit the shepherd. Attack the man who is my friend,” says the Lord All-Powerful. “Kill the shepherd, and the sheep will scatter, and I will punish the little ones.”

Father, you are the One who is good. The world does not know you, but I know you, and these people know you sent me.

No one has seen the Father except the One who is from God; only he has seen the Father.

No one has ever seen God. But God the only Son is very close to the Father, and he has shown us what God is like.

Then Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the people who are wise and smart. But you have shown them to those who are like little children. Yes, Father, this is what you really wanted.

After the four hundred thirty-four years the appointed leader will be killed; he will have nothing. The people of the leader who is to come will destroy the city and the holy place. The end of the city will come like a flood, and war will continue until the end. God has ordered that place to be completely destroyed.

Men took him away roughly and unfairly. He died without children to continue his family. He was put to death; he was punished for the sins of my people.

He gave himself for us so he might pay the price to free us from all evil and to make us pure people who belong only to him—people who are always wanting to do good deeds.

Christ took away the curse the law put on us. He changed places with us and put himself under that curse. It is written in the Scriptures, “Anyone whose body is displayed on a tree is cursed.”

You don’t really know him, but I know him. If I said I did not know him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know him, and I obey what he says.
