Jesus said to Nathanael, “Do you believe simply because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than that.”

Those who have understanding will be given more, and they will have all they need. But those who do not have understanding, even what they have will be taken away from them.

Seeing a fig tree beside the road, Jesus went to it, but there were no figs on the tree, only leaves. So Jesus said to the tree, “You will never again have fruit.” The tree immediately dried up.

Those who have much will get more, and they will have much more than they need. But those who do not have much will have everything taken away from them.’

You are blessed because you believed that what the Lord said to you would really happen.”

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to the crowd that was following him, he said, “I tell you, this is the greatest faith I have found anywhere, even in Israel.”

Then Nathanael said to Jesus, “Teacher, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.”

And Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and ‘angels of God going up and coming down’ on the Son of Man.”

Then Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?”

Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you see me. Those who believe without seeing me will be truly blessed.”
