“You really think you are the only wise people and that when you die, wisdom will die with you!

“Now my eyes have seen all this; my ears have heard and understood it.

“Listen to me, and I will tell you about it; I will tell you what I have seen.

“Can anyone be of real use to God? Can even a wise person do him good?

You will come to the grave with all your strength, like bundles of grain gathered at the right time.

Then Job answered:

The Lord does great things; those who enjoy them seek them.

The wise person is rewarded by wisdom, but whoever makes fun of wisdom will suffer for it.”

and obey the Lord’s commands and laws that I am giving you today for your own good.
