“People listened to me carefully and waited quietly for my advice.

They waited for me as they would for rain and drank in my words like spring rain.

So I say, listen to me. I too will tell you what I know.

I paid close attention to you. But not one of you has proved Job wrong; none of you has answered his arguments.

Elihu had waited before speaking to Job, because the three friends were older than he was.

“We have checked this, and it is true, so hear it and decide what it means to you.”

The person who tells one side of a story seems right, until someone else comes and asks questions.

Rich people may think they are wise, but the poor with understanding will prove them wrong.
