My friends all laugh at me when I call on God and expect him to answer me; they laugh at me even though I am right and innocent!

Your lies do not make people quiet; people should correct you when you make fun of God.

Those who are comfortable don’t care that others have trouble; they think it right that those people should have troubles.

See, I have prepared my case, and I know I will be proved right.

People open their mouths to make fun of me and hit my cheeks to insult me. They join together against me.

The one who speaks for me is my friend. My eyes pour out tears to God.

Those who laugh at me surround me; I watch them insult me.

“God has made my name a curse word; people spit in my face.

Be patient while I speak. After I have finished, you may continue to make fun of me.

“But now those who are younger than I make fun of me. I would not have even let their fathers sit with my sheep dogs.

“Now they make fun of me with songs; my name is a joke among them.

There is no other man like Job; he takes insults as if he were drinking water.

Change your mind; do not be unfair; think again, because my innocence is being questioned.

“I am innocent, but I don’t care about myself. I hate my own life.

They made fun of me and were cruel to me and ground their teeth at me in anger.

They will call to me, and I will answer them. I will be with them in trouble; I will rescue them and honor them.

People who live good lives respect the Lord, but those who live evil lives don’t.

Lord, you tricked me, and I was fooled. You are stronger than I am, so you won. I have become a joke; everyone makes fun of me all day long.

‘Judah, pray to me, and I will answer you. I will tell you important secrets you have never heard before.’

Israel says, “I will look to the Lord for help. I will wait for God to save me; my God will hear me.

Using thorny branches, they made a crown, put it on his head, and put a stick in his right hand. Then the soldiers bowed before Jesus and made fun of him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”

Jesus said, “Go away. The girl is not dead, only asleep.” But the people laughed at him.

But they laughed at him. So, after throwing them out of the house, Jesus took the child’s father and mother and his three followers into the room where the child was.

The Pharisees, who loved money, were listening to all these things and made fun of Jesus.

When the people heard about Jesus being raised from the dead, some of them laughed. But others said, “We will hear more about this from you later.”

Some were laughed at and beaten. Others were put in chains and thrown into prison.
