Foreigners who have joined the Lord should not say, “The Lord will not accept me with his people.” The eunuch should not say, “Because I cannot have children, the Lord will not accept me.”

“People who are not Israelites, foreigners from other lands, will hear about your greatness and power. They will come from far away to pray at this Temple.

the Jewish people set up this custom. They and their descendants and all those who join them are always to celebrate these two days every year. They should do it in the right way and at the time Mordecai had ordered them in the letter.

The Lord will show mercy to the people of Jacob, and he will again choose the people of Israel. He will settle them in their own land. Then non-Israelite people will join the Israelites and will become a part of the family of Jacob.

Some of your own children, those who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become servants in the palace of the king of Babylon.”

If they do, I will make their names remembered within my Temple and its walls. It will be better for them than children. I will give them a name that will last forever, that will never be forgotten.

Foreigners will join the Lord to worship him and love him, to serve him, to obey the law about the Sabbath, and to keep my agreement.

Those people will ask how to go to Jerusalem and will start in that direction. They will come and join themselves to the Lord. They will make an agreement with him that will last forever, an agreement that will never be forgotten.

hunchbacks, dwarfs, men who have something wrong with their eyes, men who have an itching disease or a skin disease, or men who have damaged sex glands.

Also you may buy as slaves children from the families of foreigners living in your land. These child slaves will belong to you,

The Lord will frighten them, because he will destroy all the gods of the earth. Then everyone in faraway places will worship him wherever they are.

They will join you in taking care of the Meeting Tent. They must do the work at the Tent, and no one else may come near you.

But only you and your sons may serve as priests. Only you may serve at the altar or go behind the curtain. I am giving you this gift of serving as a priest, and anyone else who comes near the Holy Place will be put to death.”

Peter began to speak: “I really understand now that to God every person is the same.

Some of them were convinced and joined Paul and Silas, along with many of the Greeks who worshiped God and many of the important women.

Paul left the synagogue and moved into the home of Titius Justus, next to the synagogue. This man worshiped God.

to be a minister of Christ Jesus to those who are not Jews. I served God by teaching his Good News, so that the non-Jewish people could be an offering that God would accept—an offering made holy by the Holy Spirit.

But the one who joins with the Lord is one spirit with the Lord.

Remember that in the past you were without Christ. You were not citizens of Israel, and you had no part in the agreements with the promise that God made to his people. You had no hope, and you did not know God.

And in Christ you, too, are being built together with the Jews into a place where God lives through the Spirit.

When you are camped in time of war, keep away from unclean things.
