They chase after those you have hurt, and they talk about the pain of those you have wounded.

Charge them with crime after crime, and do not let them have anything good.

I am like a stranger to my closest relatives and a foreigner to my mother’s children.

But it was the Lord who decided to crush him and make him suffer. The Lord made his life a penalty offering, but he will still see his descendants and live a long life. He will complete the things the Lord wants him to do.

The leaders answered, “We have a law that says he should die, because he said he is the Son of God.”

Jesus was given to die for our sins, and he was raised from the dead to make us right with God.

Christ took away the curse the law put on us. He changed places with us and put himself under that curse. It is written in the Scriptures, “Anyone whose body is displayed on a tree is cursed.”

so Christ was offered as a sacrifice one time to take away the sins of many people. And he will come a second time, not to offer himself for sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross so we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right. And you are healed because of his wounds.

Christ himself suffered for sins once. He was not guilty, but he suffered for those who are guilty to bring you to God. His body was killed, but he was made alive in the spirit.

He died in our place to take away our sins, and not only our sins but the sins of all people.
