Isaiah 52:12

You will not be forced to leave Babylon quickly; you will not be forced to run away, because the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will guard you from behind.

When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then attack. I, God, will have gone out before you to defeat the Philistine army.”

“This is the way you must eat it: You must be fully dressed as if you were going on a trip. You must have your sandals on and your walking stick in your hand. You must eat it in a hurry; this is the Lord’s Passover.

The Egyptians also asked the Israelites to hurry and leave, saying, “If you don’t leave, we will all die!”

The Israelites used the dough they had brought out of Egypt to bake loaves of bread without yeast. The dough had no yeast in it, because they had been rushed out of Egypt and had no time to get food ready for their trip.

The Lord made the king of Egypt stubborn, so he chased the Israelites, who were leaving victoriously.

The path of life is level for those who are right with God; Lord, you make the way of life smooth for those people.

Because of these things, this is what the Lord God says: “I will put a stone in the ground in Jerusalem, a tested stone. Everything will be built on this important and precious rock. Anyone who trusts in it will never be disappointed.

Then I will lead the blind along a way they never knew; I will guide them along paths they have not known. I will make the darkness become light for them, and the rough ground smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not leave my people.

I will go before you and make the mountains flat. I will break down the bronze gates of the cities and cut through their iron bars.

They will not be hungry or thirsty. Neither the hot sun nor the desert wind will hurt them. The God who comforts them will lead them and guide them by springs of water.

I will make my mountains into roads, and the roads will be raised up.

People in prison will soon be set free; they will not die in prison, and they will have enough food.

I have seen what they have done, but I will heal them. I will guide them and comfort them and those who felt sad for them. They will all praise me.

Then your light will shine like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal. Your God will walk before you, and the glory of the Lord will protect you from behind.

Someone will open the way and lead the people out. The people will break through the gate and leave the city where they were held captive. Their king will go out in front of them, and the Lord will lead them.”

The last ones were the rear guard for all the tribes. These were the divisions from the camp of Dan under their flag, and Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai was the commander.

Do not eat it with bread made with yeast. But for seven days eat bread made without yeast, the bread of suffering, because you left Egypt in a hurry. So all your life you will remember the time you left Egypt.

After they finished crossing the river, the priests carried the Ark of the Lord to the other side as the people watched.

Soldiers with weapons marched in front of the priests, and armed men walked behind the Ark. The priests were blowing their trumpets.

Then Deborah said to Barak, “Get up! Today is the day the Lord will hand over Sisera. The Lord has already cleared the way for you.” So Barak led ten thousand men down Mount Tabor.
