But when the Lord judges us, he disciplines us so that we will not be destroyed along with the world.

We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time if we do not give up.

Hymenaeus and Alexander have done that, and I have given them to Satan so they will learn not to speak against God.

So hold on through your sufferings, because they are like a father’s discipline. God is treating you as children. All children are disciplined by their fathers.

My brothers and sisters, I beg you to listen patiently to this message I have written to encourage you, because it is not very long.

When people are tempted and still continue strong, they should be happy. After they have proved their faith, God will reward them with life forever. God promised this to all those who love him.

“I correct and punish those whom I love. So be eager to do right, and change your hearts and lives.
