It was by faith that Moses left Egypt and was not afraid of the king’s anger. Moses continued strong as if he could see the God that no one can see.

But since they don’t allow the teaching to go deep into their lives, they keep it only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the teaching they accepted, they quickly give up.

For David said this about him: ‘I keep the Lord before me always. Because he is close by my side, I will not be hurt.

Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures.

We set our eyes not on what we see but on what we cannot see. What we see will last only a short time, but what we cannot see will last forever.

No one can see God, but Jesus Christ is exactly like him. He ranks higher than everything that has been made.

To the King that rules forever, who will never die, who cannot be seen, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

He is the only One who never dies. He lives in light so bright no one can go near it. No one has ever seen God, or can see him. May honor and power belong to God forever. Amen.

Remember those days in the past when you first learned the truth. You had a hard struggle with many sufferings, but you continued strong.

Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it.

All these great people died in faith. They did not get the things that God promised his people, but they saw them coming far in the future and were glad. They said they were like visitors and strangers on earth.

Abraham waited patiently for this to happen, and he received what God promised.

We say they are happy because they did not give up. You have heard about Job’s patience, and you know the Lord’s purpose for him in the end. You know the Lord is full of mercy and is kind.

You have not seen Christ, but still you love him. You cannot see him now, but you believe in him. So you are filled with a joy that cannot be explained, a joy full of glory.
