God is coming from Teman; the Holy One comes from Mount Paran.Selah His glory covers the skies, and his praise fills the earth.

He said: “The Lord came from Mount Sinai and rose like the sun from Edom; he showed his greatness from Mount Paran. He came with thousands of angels from the southern mountains.

Then, city of Teman, your best warriors will be afraid, and everyone from the mountains of Edom will be killed.

So I will send fire on the city of Teman that will even destroy the strong buildings of Bozrah.”

When you are angry, do not sin. Think about these things quietly as you go to bed.Selah

This message is to Edom. This is what the Lord All-Powerful says: “Is there no more wisdom in the town of Teman? Can the wise men of Edom no longer give good advice? Have they lost their wisdom?

Each creature was calling to the others: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord All-Powerful. His glory fills the whole earth.”

God comes with millions of chariots; the Lord comes from Mount Sinai to his holy place.

And you said, “The Lord our God has shown us his glory and majesty, and we have heard his voice from the fire. Today we have seen that a person can live even if God speaks to him.

He lived in the Desert of Paran, and his mother found a wife for him in Egypt.

You have done amazing things we did not expect. You came down, and the mountains trembled before you.

God, your name is known everywhere; all over the earth people praise you. Your right hand is full of goodness.

Teach them to fear you, Lord. The nations must learn that they are only human.Selah

The Lord has made himself known by his fair decisions; the wicked get trapped by what they do.Higgaion. Selah

I will pray to the Lord, and he will answer me from his holy mountain.Selah

Many are saying about me, “God won’t rescue him.”Selah

Now Samuel died, and all the Israelites met and had a time of sadness for him. Then they buried him at his home in Ramah. David moved to the Desert of Maon.

So the Israelites moved from the Desert of Sinai and continued until the cloud stopped in the Desert of Paran.

When the people heard the thunder and the trumpet, and when they saw the lightning and the smoke rising from the mountain, they shook with fear and stood far away from the mountain.

The Lord is supreme over all the nations; his glory reaches to the skies.

How terrible it will be for those people who go down to Egypt for help. They think horses will save them. They think their many chariots and strong horsemen will save them. But they don’t trust God, the Holy One of Israel, or ask the Lord for help.

They left Midian and went to Paran, where they were joined by other men. Then they all went to Egypt to see the king, who gave Hadad a house, some food, and some land.

and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. It sounded like the roar of rushing water, and its brightness made the earth shine.

Then, just as water covers the sea, people everywhere will know the Lord’s glory.
